The Maybach Little Wing Arched Top, weighing just 7.3 lbs, merges vintage aesthetics with exceptional hollowbody tonality. Its 50s-style classic neck and ebony fretboard offer a comfortable playing experience, while the "Spirit of '59" pickups deliver the punch and crunch needed to project the resonance from the Sustainblock + Okoume-reinforced hollowbody.
The body of the Maybach Little Wing is crafted from Okoume (Aucoumea klaineana), a wood from Gabon known for its excellent sound characteristics. The sustain block, integral to the body, enhances its structural integrity and tonal quality. The Little Wing is available with both flat and arched tops, using flamed solid Bosnian or North American maple for the top and back. The mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, attached to the body with a long tenon joint, ensures optimal vibration transfer.
The Maybach Little Wing is designed to excel in various conditions, with both arched and flat top versions available. Common to all versions is a sandwich body construction with a solid maple top and back and a body frame made of solid Okoume. The large cavities around a central sustain block eliminate feedback, offering an airy sound character with great versatility, dynamics, and authority.
The mahogany neck, with its rosewood fingerboard, is glued to the body via a long tenon neck joint, enhancing vibration transmission. This design allows players to feel their input directly and creates an output that feels uniquely theirs.
The Maybach Little Wing is a testament to superior craftsmanship, offering a blend of vintage aesthetics and modern performance. With its lightweight design and exceptional tonal quality, it’s a perfect choice for discerning guitarists.
