Gibson Custom Shop Guitars at Altitude

Hand-selected Gibson Custom Shop instruments — from aged Historic Reissues to elegant Les Paul Customs. Each guitar is inspected, authenticated, and ready to play.

Why Gibson Custom Shop?

Gibson Custom Shop guitars represent the pinnacle of American guitar craftsmanship. Built in Nashville by master luthiers, these instruments feature premium tonewoods, meticulous hand-finishing, and specs drawn directly from the most celebrated guitars in rock history. Whether you want the warmth of a vintage-correct Les Paul or the refined elegance of a Custom, these are guitars built to be played and cherished for decades.

Historic Reissues and True Historics

The Historic Reissue program recreates the golden-era Les Pauls of 1958 and 1959 with extraordinary attention to detail — correct neck profiles, hide glue construction, hand-wired harnesses, and aged lacquer finishes. Murphy Aged and VOS options let you choose exactly how worn-in your guitar feels right out of the case. These are as close to the originals as new production gets.

Common questions

How do I know a Gibson Custom Shop guitar is authentic?
Every Gibson Custom Shop guitar we sell is carefully verified for originality. Custom Shop instruments carry distinct serial numbers, Custom Shop cases, and paperwork. We inspect each guitar thoroughly and are happy to share detailed photos and documentation upon request.
What is the difference between VOS, Murphy Aged, and standard Historic finishes?
VOS (Vintage Original Spec) guitars receive a light buffing to take the gloss down and give a slightly broken-in feel. Murphy Aged guitars are aged by master craftsman Tom Murphy to simulate years of honest wear — checking, belt buckle rash, and played-in fret wear. Standard Historic guitars come with a full gloss finish straight from the factory.
Can I get more information or photos of a specific guitar before buying?
Absolutely. We encourage buyers to reach out before purchasing. We can provide additional photos, discuss the guitar's condition in detail, and answer any questions about setup, weight, or provenance. Contact us through the website and a real guitarist will get back to you.
