The Ernie Ball Music Man Kaizen in Gallium finish is a striking showcase of innovation, tone, and visual artistry. Designed with Tosin Abasi, this forward-thinking instrument features a multi-scale layout, cutting-edge electronics, and one of the most unique finishes ever produced. Gallium is created with real silver particles that oxidize before the final clear coat, resulting in a naturally aged, metallic surface. Each guitar tells its own visual story—only 66 six-strings and 33 seven-strings exist worldwide, making this one of the rarest Music Man offerings to date.
Each Kaizen Gallium is hand-finished using a new silver-based painting process exclusive to Music Man. As the silver oxidizes prior to clear coating, it forms an organic, one-of-a-kind visual texture, giving every guitar a unique metallic look that evolves over time. No two finishes are alike.
The Kaizen’s multi-scale neck stretches from 24.75" on the high strings to 25.5" on the low strings, providing ideal tension and feel across the fretboard. This results in tighter, punchier bass notes and effortless playability for lead work. The extended scale of the 7-string version reaches 25.65" on the low B string.
A first-of-its-kind design, the Infinity Radius features a curved peak on the treble edge of the fretboard that folds subtly toward the player, offering improved visibility across all frets—especially when playing in a seated or forward-playing position.
Steinberger gearless locking tuners keep weight to a minimum while offering accurate, smooth tuning with a straight string pull. The ultra-modern Music Man tremolo includes spring dampeners to minimize unwanted overtones and enhance articulation during expressive vibrato or dive-bombing.
At the heart of the Kaizen are new Music Man pickups:
Bridge: Custom HT (Heat Treated) humbucker engineered for ultra-high output, massive low-end response, and tight articulation—even in high-gain settings.
Neck: Slanted mini-humbucker designed to complement the HT bridge pickup, delivering detailed, clear tones with expressive dynamic range and clarity at all volumes.
