Kinman's passive pickups, equipped with parallel Baseplates, are specifically designed to fit the unique pickup cavities of Silver Sky guitars, which feature parallel sides rather than the traditional Stratocaster's offset squashed triangle shape. When upgrading a Silver Sky with Kinman pickups, it is crucial to specify the use of our exclusive Parallel Baseplate, ensuring a perfect fit. This baseplate design is also ideal for replacing EMG pickups, which similarly utilize parallel baseplates.  Its important to note these fit in most 3-single coil guitars like Stratocasters.

Sound Design Inspired by John Mayer

Influenced by John Mayer's preference for a Stratocaster sound characterized by a smooth, non-aggressive top end, Kinman has crafted the Zero-Hum Impersonator E69 to replicate this tonal quality. This design philosophy aligns with that of PRS, who engineered Mayer's original pickups to produce a similar sound profile, favoring subtlety over brightness in the higher frequencies.

The use of low-strength Alnico rod magnets in these pickups enhances sustain by minimizing magnetic string pull.
