1983 Fender American Vintage 1957 Reissue Neck (Fullerton Plant)
Really awesome example of a Fullerton AVRI neck - made by the legendary Herbie Gastelum. This neck appears to be all original, with the correct markings and features for '82-'84 Reissues Stratocasters.
Frets are in excellent shape - it appears that there is still some lacquer left on the sides of the frets, so to our knowledge they are original; however, the frets are in extremely good shape for the era. The fret ends are rounded, so also a step better than factory - so its hard to say based on the lacquer presence.
- Neck Date is 12/15/83, and does appear to be below the lacquer
- Neck has period-correct markings, and truss rod adjustment bolt is closer to the fretboard (indicative of original equipment)
- H. Gastelum name stamped on neck heel
- Waterslide decal with pointed E's
