The Channel-Bound Telecaster® Neck is a testament to Fender's commitment to innovation and craftsmanship. Manufactured in the same facilities as Fender's U.S.-made instruments, this neck features the unique "channel-bound" design. This technique involves inlaying the fingerboard directly into the neck, which eliminates side seams and enhances both the aesthetics and the feel under the fretting hand. The seamless integration not only looks sleek but also provides a smooth playing experience. Condition-wise, this neck has been assembled to a complete guitar for a customer-spec'd build that ultimately abandoned the project. There is no fret wear, no scratches, no discernible damage whatsoever aside from the drill holes from Fender - this thing is mint! Save $$ off retail.
The neck boasts a 9.5"-14" compound-radius rosewood fingerboard that offers tailored playability along its length. Near the nut, the radius is more rounded, facilitating comfortable chording. As you move up the neck, the fingerboard gradually flattens, making it easier to perform wide bends without fretting out. This thoughtful design ensures versatility and ease of play across all styles and techniques.
Further enhancing playability are the comfortably rounded fingerboard edges and the "Modern C"-shaped profile, which are designed to accommodate any playing style. The neck is also equipped with 21 medium jumbo frets and vintage ivory inlays that add a classic touch of elegance.
As this is a genuine replacement neck for Fender or Squier® by Fender guitars, it has not been pre-mounted to any guitar bodies. Therefore, nut slots must be cut, and additional adjustments such as fret work and fitting the neck to the neck pocket are necessary to ensure optimal performance and sound. These tasks should be performed by qualified personnel at an FMIC Authorized Service Center, which can be located via the "Support" section on fender.com.
This Channel-Bound Telecaster® Neck combines superb functionality with sophisticated design, making it an excellent choice for players looking to upgrade their instrument with a touch of elegance and enhanced playability.
